WHAT A POLITICAL IRONY: Kofi Boakye Alone Cannot Fight Armed Robbers But Martin Amidu Alone Can End Corruption

Robbery here robbery there. Ghana is now like Somalia and Syria where everyone lives in fear because no one knows who will be next to be attacked.

The security situation in the country has come to it’s knee. The current government is just best at rhetorics when it comes to security matters. Giving us motivational messages when people are dying.

In just two months into 2018, the year of our Lord, more than 106 robbery cases were recorded with several deaths.

It started with the NPP vigilantism where some of us called for the head of the IGP.

Now under Nana Addo, there is no day that passes by with robbery cases with death not recorded.

Our Country has been taken over by armed robbers and Npp vigilante groups who can tell the Ghana Police in the face that they can never arrest them.

All these are happening in Ghana but our President is in US promising to help the most powerful country on earth to fight terrorism while his country has been taken over by armed robbers.

Security in the country broke down the very day Nana Addo took over the administration of this country when a police officer was severely beaten at the seat of government.

This our current IGP is known by all standard to be incompetent since his days as the CID boss.

Even within the police force they don’t like him because of his incompetency. His incompetency can only be compared with the Sanitation and Borla Minister.

From my village Alavanyo to Accra, from Sandema to cape coast, From Bole to Kyebi everyone is calling on government to make use of Kofi BOAKYE.

Kofi BOAKYE is a household name because of the spirit of action he brought into the police force.

He demonstrated that clearly in Western region as the Regional Commander when Robbery and Galamsey issues were getting out of hands.

When insecurities issues engulfed Kumasi, Kofi BOAKYE was quickly transferred there and he didn’t disappoint Ghanaians at all.

I got to trust Kofi BOAKYE when some NDC youths in Kumasi started calling for his removal of because he never spared them for political cover ups.

He is a man on his own and take actions that are always in the interest of the Republic unlike Apeatu who wait for Wontumi and others to instruct him on what to do.

Commander 1. made Kumasi one of the safest regional capitals in Ghana under his administration.

The very month he was transferred to the research department at the HQ, was when crime and robbery issues started taking shapes again in Kumasi.

Because of reasons best known to the Npp, Kofi BOAKYE was dumped into the research department at the head office wasting away while armed robbers are jubilating on the streets of Accra.

It is funny to hear some Npp substandard communicators trumpeting that calling for government to make use of Kofi BOAKYE is misplaced priority because Kofi BOAKYE alone can’t stop the robberies.

My answer to them is, an army of sheeps led by a Lion is more fearful than an army of lions lead by a sheep.

It’s this same people who go out there shouting as if Martin Amidu as an individual is the only righteous person left on earth to fight corruption. So if Martin Amidu alone can fight corruption why can’t Kofi BOAKYE do same to crime?

I spoke to some police officers and they were emphatic that its only Kofi BOAKYE who can bring sanity and hope to the Ghana Police force at this particular moment.

We are not calling for Nana Addo to make Kofi BOAKYE the IGP because it is impossible, he would’ve been comfortable with making Madam Tiwaa the CID boss who is an expert in negotiating corruption related issues in favour of government as the IGP than Kofi BOAKYE.

Kofi BOAKYE is wasting away and government must make use of him to curtail the recent insecurity that has become a daily activity under the watch of our numerous security ministers and officials.

Am still a citizen and not a spectator.
