The Presiding Member of the Adaklu District Assembly, Rev. Fred Agbogbo is optimistic that Thursday’s affirmation process is set to give another chance to the assembly members in the district to vote in favor of the president’s new DCE nominee, Madam Kate Amatepe to replace the rejected nominee, Madam Josephine Ohene-Boateng.

Rev. Fred Agbogbo believes that a further delay in the affirmation of the president’s nominee for the position of D.C.E will intensify the slow pace of development in the District since other districts in the region have made headway by accepting the president’s nominees unlike the Adaklu District.
The Adaklu District has had the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa, act as DCE for the area since the previous nominee Josephine Ohene-Boateng failed to secure the necessary votes to make her DCE for the area.
Outstanding areas in the Volta Region yet to have their respective MDCEs include Hohoe Municipality, North Tongu, South Tongu, Akatsi South and the Biakoye Districts.
