President Mahama’s last day in office: Commissions WAEC new Head Office (Photo)

On his last day in office, outgoing President John Mahama has commissioned a newly constructed head office of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) at Okponglo in Accra.

According to President Mahama, government’s foresight led to the allocation of the land for the headquarters at Okponglo in 1997 for the construction of a permanent site for the Council.

President Mahama who was defeated at the December 2016 polls while seeking re-election almost entered office commissioning projects till his last day in office.

He also commissioned the University of Ghana Medical School yesterday.

Since after December 7, he has also cut sod for the commencement of construction of a state own university at Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana and five (5) government district hospitals.
