The Northern Regional Youth Organizer hopeful of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Abraham Njonaan Nlenkiba has urged the party hierarchy of the region to handle their personal and party issues behind camera.
He said this in the wake of the current impasse between the Regional Chairman, Abdul Fataw Bugri Naabu and the Regional Minister Hon. Salifu Saeed and his Deputy Hon. Solomon Boar.

The outspoken Chairman is reported to have asked the President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo to sack the Regional Minister and his deputy who have just served not more than five months in office. He also went further accusing the Regional Minister of bribing the party executives in the region with amount of GHc5,000 each in his (Regional Minister) to unseat him.
Mr. Abraham Nlenkiba, the Regional Youth Organizer hopeful of the party is however of the view that all matters relating to the party should be handled in secrecy and not to allow the opposition NDC get political points out of it.
In an interview with Awake News’ Efo Korsi Senyo, Mr. Nlenkiba said he has followed the happenings in the party ranging from the crossfire between the Chairman Bugri Naabu and Hon. Otiko Djaba, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection and the current impasse.
He registered his displeasure and urging all NPP members across the region to respect order and be professional in order to make the region a stronghold for the party.
Mr. Nlenkiba also is calling on the party hierarchy to ensure even distribution of appointments among party members regardless of the tribe or geographical locations.
Responding to a question by Awake News’ Efo Korsi Senyo on what he thinks could be the possible solutions to the current agitations on the appointments of MMDCEs across the country?, this is what Mr. Abraham had to say:
Our people must respect the decisions of the people for harmonious living and stop attributing tribal or ethnic issues to the political appointments.
Government’s policy of making MMDCEs positions elective one is laudable and could help end the hullabaloos in the country and the region at large”
The young graduate of the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work and Sociology who themed his campaign message “Retained to Maintain” said he chose that theme because the party has now come to power and so the members need to put in necessary measures and human resource to make sure the party maintains the win in future elections so as to drive NDC into the wilderness for several years.
To achieve pushing the NDC into opposition forever, he said “the involvement of youth is inalienable” hence his quest to ensure sanity in the rank and file of the party.
The optimistic aspirant who also uses the social media to propagate his message said “I wants the youth to know that leadership or politics is not about war or do and die affair”.
He stated that for the development of the country, the youth must make sure they take part in every election to choose desirable leaders to govern and present their needs to the policy makers.
He however, benoun how the youth has been left out in some key decision making processes. According to him the the youth unemployment situation in the country is killing the ambitions of the nearer future leaders since they are not empowered financially hence have no peace of mind to develop their leadership potentials.
Mr. Abraham also urged all leaders in the country to live exemplary lives worthy of emulation by the young ones by avoiding conflicts and use abusive language on public domain.
