GUPS affirms its support for minister of education designate and all ministerial nominees
The Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS), the single largest bloc representing professional students in Ghana is happy for the nomination of Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as minister Designate for Education.
We are particularly happy of the quality of all ministerial nominees who were announced today, 10th January 2017 at the Flagstaff House by H. E. Nana Akuffo Addo.
The Union by this release wishes to congratulate all of them and reaffirm our commitment to work with them in meeting the developmental goals of our great nation.
GUPS particularly want to commend his excellency Nana Akuffo Addo for nominating persons who have the nation at heart. We are equally happy to note the level of trust and confidence he repose in these great individuals to help run the affairs of the various sectors of our country.
We remain hopeful and pray that these ministers will not disappoint but rather assist the president in all activities to ensure the development of a robust economy and most especially a progressive education system for our dear nation.
The Ghana Union of Professional Students also wishes all nominee ministers well as they go for vetting in the coming days.
A special congratulatory message goes to Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh who has been nominated for the Minister of Education portfolio. We are of greater hope that he will pass through the vetting successfully and be confirmed to serve his office.
GUPS also hopes that the educational needs of Professional Students especially would be addressed to ease the pressure on these students.
We pledge our support to the Minister and to work together so that Ghanaian professional students enjoy better education that is due them.
