SPEECH DELIVERED BY MASTER AMAGLO DIVINE AS THE STUDENT POLITICIAN OF THE YEAR.

Mr. Chairman, Representative of National Executives of NUGS present, Executives of Regional Block NUGS present, Executives of SRC, Local NUGS Executives, Organizers of the program, Colleague nominees, Comrades, Ladies And Gentlemen.

I am grateful to you all.

Mr. Chairman, I will like to use this opportunity to reveal my credentials. My name is Amaglo Divine; I am a founding member of TEIN who served two consecutive terms as elected president of TEIN. I was acting Justice for USAG in 2013/2014. Vice President of Great Corinthians Choir, ARS Edem Branch, Coordinator of Volta Regional Health Team established by Hon. Dr. Catherine Deynu Nationwide. A Member of Organizing Committee of Agency for Child and Adolescent Health Promotion for improving child and adolescent health, Financial Secretary to Mafi Kpedzegblo Youth Association (MAKPEYA), Coordinator of Leadership Governance and Accountability Platform (LeGAP) UHAS Chapter, Organizing Secretary to ARSSU UHAS Chapter. Last but not the least the current Deputy National organizer of Apostles Revelation Society Students’ Union (ARSSU).

Comrades, I hope you don’t mind my political allusion to your persons for it is the best I could summon under the circumstance of my victorious entry into the award annals as the student politician of the year.
Indeed, to venture in the minutest sense that my victory was self motivated would be a major affront to my kingmakers. It is on this note; I wish to thank all you who have propelled me from a looming abyss of defeat to a glorious ultimate height of success with your votes, encouragements and prayers. What could I have done without you? My gratitude for your gesture is indefinitely profound.

Life has also taught me in several ways that a lack of competition is abject monotony that slays creativity and inspiration on the altar of mediocrity. Thus, I thank my contenders for giving me a hell of a run; and I guess by now they have reconciled with the fact that my home support is thick. I have never on any occasion underestimated your prowess when the race started but one of us has to win; only one wins in the end.
My final appreciation is to the organizers for first of all recognizing me as a befitting personality for this portfolio and their careful attention to details in coming out with the best results. I do not doubt your credibility because I believe in your competent decisions. May God strengthen you and take you from honour.

THANK YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN!

LONG LIVE UHAS
LONG LIVE NUGS
LONG LIVE GHANA
