Chris Mensah-Ankrah currently pursues a Master’s Degree in Conflict Security and Peace at The Kofi Annan International Peace Training Centre. With a deep passion for counter terrorism and human security research, Chris’s research interests are largely from a critical theory perspective as such he engages his love for the hard core behavioral sciences like psychology and anthropology in examining and critiquing issues of terrorism, extremism and conflict issues. Mike Omilusi is a freelance journalist, development and peacebuilding practitioner, consultant and teacher. For over a decade, he has been collaborating with civil society organizations and international agencies on governance and development issues. I am the founder and current president of Patriots Ghana Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) ((www.patriotsghana-knust.webs.com) chapter, a youth volunteering and social services organization. With my chapter I have championed various projects and events such as reproductive health, education and the I am Star Projects. Also under my leadership made donations to orphanages, clean up exercises, quizzes in schools, donations to schools, seminar for students, and financial assistance to the needy. I was responsible for the creation of partnership with the Ghana Education Service, Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana, Light for Children, The African Centre for Peace Building (www.afcopb.org), ), Social Support Foundation(www.ssfghnana.org), Esyllabus For Africa (www.esyllabustrial.artisteer.net) and other NGO’s and organizations for collaborative projects. I am a Global Youth Ambassador for A World at School and the Ghanaian Ambassador for Young Men for Gender Equality. I hold certificates from United States Institute Of Peace in Conflict Analyses, Interfaith Conflict Resolution , and Negotiation and Conflict Management, Also from IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre I have certificates in Costing Sustainable Services Modules 1,2 and 3. I also took a course from the World Bank Institute in Reproductive Health-From Advocacy to Action and used the knowledge I gained to initiate a reproductive health project with Patriots Ghana.
Bernard is a junior at Colby- Sawyer College. He was born in Ghana and is all African inside and out. He moved to the United States in 2011 to pursue his college degree.Amidst rigorous academic work and other campus engagements, Bernard was able to channel his interest in sustainable development by co- founding the creation of a sustainability company known as Kwyshe®.
